Episodes 6-12 document a shamanistic initiation journey in Peru, led by Don Eduardo Calderon, a Peruvian shaman, and his student, psychologist Alberto Villoldo.

Shamanism is a knowledge that is thousands of years old. There are no written records, because this secret knowledge was only passed on from teacher to student through experiential learning.

A group of people from European and American cultures - doctors, architects, computer specialists, psychologists, filmmakers - are now embarking on this journey of inner discovery. The people learn through their own experience at the ancient initiation sites of the Peruvian shamans.

Don Eduardo Calderon, a Peruvian medicine man, leads a group of western apprentices through the steps and trials of becoming a shaman.
